Howard is President and Chief Investment
Officer for Crescent Sterling, Ltd. Prior to founding Crescent Sterling,
Ltd. he
was with JMC Capital Management, Inc. for eight years, serving as the
Director of Research and as a Portfolio Manager. His financial and
accounting experience includes his position on the Tax
Staff of Arthur Andersen & Co., and his economics background includes his
position as Staff Manager for South Central Bell where he was responsible
for economic and system demand forecasts.
Howard received a Bachelor’s Degree in
Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master
of Business Administration with areas of concentration
in accounting and economics from the University of New Orleans.
He has attained the CFA Institute’s Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA)
designation. Howard is also a Certified
Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and Certified Management Accountant.
Howard is a member of the CFA
Institute, a member and past President of the
Financial Analysts of New Orleans, Past Chairman of the Investment Committee
of the United Way of Greater New Orleans, a member of the National
Association of Business Economists and the organization’s Financial Round
table, a member and past President of the New Orleans Council of Business
Economists, and a member of the Louisiana Society of CPA’s and New Orleans
Society of CPA’s.
